Truth be told, I picked up this houndstooth coat in Charleston over the weekend because I was very cold & unprepared for the distinctly unsouthern-like weather…oops! Well, it turns out that sometimes being unprepared can lead to a fashion find. I really like that the coat’s kimono inspired sleeves give it some extra flair. Plus, it’s just a bit oversized so it pairs nicely with a legging type pant and high boots (all while keeping you nice & toasty). I added some contrast to the ensemble with the gold stud gloves and brown and red plaid tote bag. Speaking of red, one more unexpected Charleston purchase was Pearl’s turtleneck sweater – everybody wins :)!
